What car would you buy to replace your own car with. Budget say....£14K

None.
I'd spend the money on upgrading my driving and the car instead and forget all about buying a new one ;)

Nah!

Driver training aint going to make me keep up with you on the straights or a bloody corsa 1.4 for that matter.

Are you not gonna go down the 170 route Fd suggested?

PTP 170 is almost £2300 plus fitting....

To me doesn't sound worth it when considering I could buy the green 160 that Laurence has advertised for £15500

Who knows....hopefully it will be dry at TT and we can get some laps together. If I could get someone better behind the wheel i.e. Laurence, Tut or Walshy and have them pass you or a quicker car then it will stay standard for now.

Either of them will probably pass me in most cars!
Anyway, your car should be quicker through corners due to your Nitrons but it's obviously going to be a bit slower on the straights as mine has near to 40bhp more.
But as we know from lapping with the scoobies, it's not all about straight line speed.

Saw a yellow one of them in Dundee a few years ago, looked quite smart on the road but IIRC they didn't get great reviews.

I wouldn't sell the Liz before losing organs, but if I had £14k to use to add a car to the stable, I have to say, I've got a bit of a moist spot for the R33 Skyline (so call me a ricer!)

Just strikes me as the dictionary definition of Japanese techno-loonydom (as long as it's tuned!)

G, get a VX Turbo, get it remapped to ~250bhp and bob's your transexual auntie.

edit: ok, just read the title of the post properly. D'oh. What about an M3 Coupe? Audi S4? Fiat Coupe Turbo? 350z's are coming down in price. 944 Turbo  968CS? Cerbera/Griff?
