Don't tempt me

I now know that it's still possible to buy a sub-£100 car with MOT

This all started with the daft notion of mebbies getting a daft old 4 seat convertible, so I could take the kids out, without breaking the bank... (cheaper to buy in winter  )

A quick search thru AT soon revealed hunners of Golf/Astra/Escort ragtops (Punto & 205Cti were more interesting), but also the odd E30 Bee-Emm & SAAB 900/93 8) Closer inspection at stained seats & carpets & generally flaky interiors from years of damp soon put an end to the idea

Been browsing PH & AT lately too. Last time I bought a copy of AT I ended up with £1K of nova sr in my garage  ... now sold!

Sitting with an empty garage... must stop buying sheds for arsing about at motorsport with and save up for a proper car... with no roof, and maybe no doors or windscreen

Ahhhhh Austins Russet Brown with gold pinstripe, exactly the same colour of my first car, and Austin Mini 1000 1979 T plate.

Its nickname "the malteser" was well deserved.
