Lets hope its not the K-series...
you'd spend 99% of the time checking your temp guage in this..
Love the fact there is a learner in that photo - lets hope their hourly rate doesnt sting too much!

Worse than when I visited Bombay in the 70's.
Verian was a Gulf Air hostie then, and did the Bahrain-Bombay run in a Tri-Star. She had Bob Hope as a pax on one flight, and as he stepped out of the aircraft he said what the hell is that smell.
She said that is sh*t Mr Hope.
He said OK, but what the f**k have they done to it?

probably the best move for lotus!
am in india just now and this place seem to have changed beyond recognition in the last 2 years

. the rich have grown richer! lamborghini is an affordable car for some

. (the car has a 110% tax over the actual cost of the car). so thats like buying 1 lamborghini for the cost of 2

. 'effin' plenty of money in india just now.
the poor segment seem to remain more or less the same.
all these guys who own sports cars drive mainly at night (when u have the whole road for urself, and no rules to abide). and of course the majority of them buy these machines to keep at home
of the 2 elises i am aware of in india... they use it for drag racing.

Similar story in Nigeria, loads of high end cars in amongst the dross.
Range Rovers and armoured Mercs etc are common but I've also seen a brand new RR Phantom and Maybach.
In this case it's mainly corruption and crime that create the mega rich while there are millions with nothing.
Not many sports cars though ('cos of the roads I guess but also these cars will usually have a driver).

i get this strong feeling, vijay mallaya (the business tycoon who bought 50% of spyker F1, whyte & mackay group of distilleries) might buy lotus company.
man with a midas touch. loves to live life. he owns around 500 cars (including a ford model T).
he is known to be the richard branson of india
