The same driving lamp bracket 7 years apart

The new one has had the factory paint balsted off of it and been painted properly before it goes on the car.

I miss having a paintshop and workshops on site full of mercenaries.
Got all sorts done for a 4 pack of stella

Of course. Stella lubricates the gears of the RAF. With out it everythign grinds to a halt.
Used to run the workshops in NI, the Police were never popular and were charged properly for every job at £££ an hour they even charged them for the time it took to work out how much to charge them...

The part's will have been manufactured by a sub contractor and the price per part will be in the pence (although more expensive than a mainstream manufacturer) they may be deliberatly underspecing the coating so that you have to buy new one's, although my money is on a lack of thought regarding rustproofing within the design process. Some of the coatings on the car are a bit shody, but then again what is the profit margin in the car ?
