To think they've just spent a fortune installing new toll booths for the FRB

well its only £4 m they've waisted this time - precious little next to the cost of having msp's and that giant bamboo play pen called the parliament at the cost of £400m!

not to mention the fiasco on George street where they waisted £2m on bollards!!

what a set of w*nkers.

Could they not set about improving the M8 and the bypass, and finish the A1?

"To think they've just spent a fortune installing new toll booths for the FRB "
...exactly, a bunch of wankers that are wasting all our money by not talking to each other.

I know Alex Salmond well, so am going to bend his effing earhole next time I see him.

He will say it is sour grapes because he outbid me for the Old Mill in Strichen when we were buying a house up here, but tough sh*t Alex cos we ended up with tuttowers, and you got flooded in your Mill by the stream, and your original Water Wheel could not cope with 4,000rpm and departed for Mars.

Are there still plans afoot to build a tunnel across the Forth ?

I think its by far and away the stupidest thing the scottish 'government' has ever done. Who has ever heard of anyone whinging about the cost of the bridge toll? How the feck is the crumbling old wreck of a bridge going to get maintained now?

I know, a good old rise on taxes elsewhere ought to sort it... :x

Indeed. Agree with the lack of planning etc. It's b*kk*x that the money's been wasted on new booths etc. And Andy's comments about George st folly too - ashamed to admit, I had already forgotten about that utter nonsense

I guess the good news is, as a Catervan owner, not having to dig-out a quid from somewhere each time. Admittedly a fairly shallow reason.

Tunnel - I thought they'd announced the new crossing will be a cable stay bridge?

I think they should appoint me to head up the road prgramme for Scotland - that would sort these d*ckheads out once and for all

at this rate we are going to have the road infrastructure of a 3rd world country

Andy for First Minister........

And what a stupid title. For Gawds sake, lets forget Mel Gibson and call him Prime Minister, or even Chief Dickhead if we can not go with that.

probably closer to the mark

I never really seen much of a problem with the tolls but then again I live the other side and rarely used them. £1 is nothing and those that use it pay for it's upkeep. or they could have just kept it going until it was all paid for. sounds like a pointless vote winning exersize to me

Upside - no queues :D

Downside - gone is the 'pedal-to-the-metal' race for the outside lane after the tolls.

Upside - easier exit to north of Edinburgh from MMC/SLS* at 5pm :D

Downside - 70 mph through gap between toll booths

I'm all for this, but agree that all politicians should be shot.

What really gets my goat is the fact that aberdeen needs about three new bridges over the two rivers and all of a sudden £1.5bn can be found for a new forth crossing - all that f'ing revenue that gets generated up here.....

Oh well that will save me about £25 a month  But am sure they will get it off me in some other way.

Cheers
