Alarm disabled by Radio Mast

Just wondering if anyone has had a similar issue as what happened at the weekend with Exige.
I went to Noahs Ark play centre in Perth and parked up, set alarm and left.
Came back 2 hours later and could not get in or unlock doors. The alarm kept going off when pressing radio key.
Tried multiple times and due to deadlock the keys could not open doors etc.
Phoned RAC who came out and had no idea how, what or why happened.
UNTIL.... He noticed the large Radio, telephone mast with dishes etc about 20 meters away.
He moved the van to block off the radio view and possible signals, phoned tech support and got the keyfob reset, reset it and opened Exige, started and worked first time. Superb.

The RAC man said that it was a common issue with the large radio masts and they can reset the keyfobs and interfere with signal. The car was fine after that and has been since.

Just maybe worth keeping the keyfob reset instructions handy incse this happens, luckily i was in RAC and never cost me.

I have heard of that happening elsewhere ( may have been on Seloc ) something to do with the radio waves confusing the alarm .

Brings back memories of the old road at the top of newhouse. I come from Perth and when I was a lad before all the houses were built I ended up there one very memorable night with an older lady in a mini metro . But it did not have an alarm. :damnfunny

The exact same happened to me in Aberdeen. I found parking a large flatbed lorry behind the car fixed it though. Slightly embarrasing when you call them out, wait an hour for them to turn up, and then there appears to be nothing wrong.... I'll not be parking there again anyway
