New a048's?
Certainly Ed was taking the piss out of Javelin's "no slicks" policy with his rear pax-side tyre.
Was that extra wear down to the ever present track companion

Sadly not!

Dya think MMC could fit a s/c?
Was getting new tyres, have checked them now the old ones are off.
It seems that the presures i was running might have been too high.
It seems that the tyre wear is greater in the middle.
That right?

didn't actually check them.
I'll let you know though. If its wearing dead centre though def too high. Try 23/24 & 26 front to rear.
Ali is the guru on tyre pressure though!
Have you got the old ones still?

It's another Javelin one but it's £120. Not sure if I'll do that one, will probably wait and see how busy it is nearer the time.

I was running 24F25R cold (my normal road pressures) which actually worked out OK on such a cold day, you would normally expect to have to drop the pressures. I was checking the tyre temps across the width and higher in the middle would show over pressure. They were balanced accross the width but a little higher on the inside which suggests either too much camber, not enough attack on the corners or just too many straights...
Cheers,
Ali

The one on the 21st of April is a HOt Marques and KH organise those themselves.
Others like dreadnought, wallace and sidc organise their own days.
Sounds like i need to get me a temp checker. Cheers for your input Ali, am definently gunna lower my pressures from where they are now. Might just steal your 24/25 combination and see how that works. I managed 4 trackdays and 5000, although one was wet, so i guess i shouldnt be too disappointed. Hopefully ill get a bit more life out of the next ones as they aint cheap!!
