My friend worked for ShepWedd for a while.
I could ask her - what would you like to know?

I have half a dozen friends who work for S&W on the legal side and know the firm by reputation.
Feel free to PM your number if you want a chat.

Role is for IT Business Systems Manager, meeting HR initially. Guess I was initially fishing to find out info about the company other than what I might read on tinternet.
Nobody has said anything negative yet so sounds good, reading up this afternoon.

Big firm in Scotland (part of the 'big four' of McGrigors, Dundas& Wilson Maclay Murray & Spens, and shepherds) mainly dealing with commercial work. They have their sights set on London, but they're quite small fry in comparison to the big boys down there (known as the magic circle). As far as I know, they do have an office down there, but I doubt it has more than 2 partners in it.
IIRC, there is an HR woman that is quite a formidable character, Carol Ritchie could be her name. Everyone in Uni used to moan about how she'd treated them at interview for traineeships, I think my flatmate actually wrote a letter of complaint! other than that, doubt there's much else I can tell you.
Cheers,
Greg
