I have to confess, I've never had much of an interest in watches until this thread; but now I'm looking and learning. Not that I'm in the position to buy anything I really like just now, but I have found this on ebay. 8)

Quite a bit more expensive than other Soviet stuff there, the strap's not up to much and it's fecking huge, but it does appeal.

Two negatives make a positive but only in Scotland do two positives make a negative - 'Aye right.'

Guessing the 3 or 4 SE-ers who have joined TZ-UK over the last few months might have seen this already
It's a nice watch - good size - nide detail - nice tacho movement (sweep back) ..wearing mine now.. :)

Also the calliper is removable so in theory you could colour match your loti - should anyone wish to..

Where did you get the Rapport winder? They are very expensive!
both case and winder from the wife - both from Rapports.. she bought direct - nice to be loved.. :) You get nice leaning cloths and bits and bobs to boot. :thumbsup

The bathosphere-type winder is just great - lovely turned alloy.. quite.. nice and a decent sized display case (nice veneers) to add some more watches when I pick my career back up (hopefully).. :)

I'd love a Chopard.. Jacky ickx edition if poss but any mille miglia just as nice.. preferably leather rather than the dunlop strap. I like the new Oris Autaris also - very retro - nice alternative to a Tag Carrera.. :cheers

oh - btw - you still owe me a pax in the Vanquish..

That is the freud reference for the investment industry, yes.. :welcome alas working for a US asset manager can have its downsides.. on 7 week garden leave and henceforth released back into the market. Hope to find a position either in fund selection/analysis/asset allocation/HNW or in Compliance, Marketing, Product, Research - whatever comes up. I had been waiting on an internal role with a Canadian fund of fund operation for about 18mo.... still waiting alas old chap.. :cheers

Dipping my toes in to this thread, I fancy a watch with a white bracelet as per the below womans watch. Anyone got an idea of where I could find one ? Not looking for one that I would have to sell the 340 in order to buy/service it.

Top Tip

Too much wine and listening to Elton John late on a Saturday evening makes you Gayer than Gaylord McGhey

Any Chanel J12 replica for £100 or the real thing for £1500

Went to pick up my Oris which was away for a service and a new face plate. They replaced the strap as well as there was a few small cracks in the rubber. It came back with a totally different design strap... not impressed..

Its now a smooth strap and not the ribbed version that us meant to look like the ribbed F1 tyres.

Trust me... ribbed is better..

The watch was rejected and will find out on Monday what will happen
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....
