Are there any watch lovers among us?

Beside cars, I like collecting watches.

:cheers

What's in your collection Mass ??

I have a collection totalling 1 at the moment (a S/S Rolex Submariner). Had a 4000 Series TAG once upon a time, which I sold. I would like to add a Heuer Monza and a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona but I'm having trouble getting my good lady to authorise the release of funding :( She just doesn't get it.

One thing I've noticed over the years is that the majority of car enthusiasts also have a bit of a watch fetish too......don't know what the connection is but they seem to go together.

I have a few watches, both old and new, as I have been collecting them for years.

Formal ones like Panerai, Omega, Frank Muller, Seiko, Locman, Grimoldi, Citizen, Corum, Oris, Cartier etc

Casual ones liek Dunhill, D&G, Nixson, Armani, Gucci etc

I like the Monza too but don't have it.

The connections may be nice mechanics and designs???

My old (original) Tag F1 broke as I forgot about it in the back of a drawer for a few years and the battery leaked/screwed the movement. Had that since 1990 :(

Anyway, I've now got a Tag Kiruim Automatic Chronometer... I love it.
I quite fancy a Raymond Weil though... there is a chunky one that keeps catching my eye.... my wife got a very nice Gucci thing recently so I'm hoping that if I see the Raymond Weil in duty-free (or on holiday) she might tell me to get it (if I can do the sad eyes)...

Never really been fussed about Rolex... but I do like Omega's :thumbsup

Was it the large blue bling watch?

If so, it would have been Locman (Italian military watch which has been blinged up with diamonds  ) Bought it to match the CR.

Like the Rolex Bi-Gold submariner. Is it the Silver/gold/blue combination?

My mum bought me a 18ct gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date watch when she was working in Saudi Arabia in the late 80s. It really wasn't my style (I was a student at the time and guess I am more Timex than Tag) and I put it away in a kitchen drawer. When I was moving house a few years later I had a good clear out of all the piles of old crap that had gathered in the kitchen drawers then realised that I couldn't find it after putting it in the wrong pile. Mildly embarrassing and enough to put me off watches for good!!
