I got it wrong - It's 10% off as opposed to £100 off.

I'd comtact Customer Service and see what they can do. They know you can use their 60day return policy if you aren't happy.
Doing that this morning. Funny, I found a hundred pounds off code elsewhere so will see how I get on. Fancy a different strap so maybe some bargaining in there somewhere.👍

Sounds crap Mike, noted 😲.

On a positive note, CW customer services were very nice to deal with and applied the £100 discount without a blink of an eye. Result, cheers for the nod Mik. 👍

Not wanting to spam unnecessarily with promotions, but ABP straps have 30% off until Monday on both off the shelf and custom straps.

I'll pop up a photo of the black alligator one I just ordered from them, on my new Reverso once it arrives :)

I have a Sinn, worst watch I ever bought. Flew home one time and the face exploded outward, very fragile and not very accurate. Had to get the glass, which is actually plastic, replaced before it blew up. Complete waste of money.
 Sorry and surprised to hear that. I owned a Sinn 956 for about 10 years - there is a pic somewhere near the beginning of this thread - and never let me down, other than the leather strap deteriorated despite very little wear. Had sapphire crystal glass though and surprised to hear any Sinn is plastic. Nevertheless, just traded my Sinn a few weeks ago for a white faced IWC Aquatimer 2000m. (stock pic)

Can anyone recommend a Tag dealer in the Edinburgh area to get a couple of Tags services.

The battery has now died on Sandra's Formula 1 and my Gulf Formula 1 is staring to show signs that the battery being on its way out.

Ideally looking for an official Tag dealer if we can.

George

Laings on corner of Frederick/George St are a TAG AD, but I would struggle to recommend them. Great watch shop upstairs - probably largest range of good stuff available in Edinburgh - but my experience of their general service is poor and never found the staff that knowledgeable. They have a watch service/repair desk but not sure what, if anything, is done on premises or if all sent away.
Hamilton and Inches across the road on Geo Street have a highly regarded watch repair guy in Ian Malone. Has done most of my stuff for years. Used to work at Laings which is where I first encountered him but he moved a while ago and I kept with him rather than the shop. e.g. I am pretty sure H&I aren't Omega AD's but it is where I take my quartz Seamaster for a replacement battery and seal/pressure test. There is little to service in a quartz so worth considering. Only downside is H&I prices could be a touch higher but fine with me as know it is in good hands.

Second that Laings are crap... sent my Kirium to them for service and came back with totally the wrong hands. Silver rather than platinum and a different style. Argued point blank with me about it till I found photos of my watch for insurance records. Took them 3 months to sort it. No idea what was going on. Tag service centres all send the watches to Tag apparently who said they didn’t touch the hands in the service. I suspected some foul play and the hands were nicked from mine to refurb another faulty watch. Wouldn’t go near them.

Have to say that I'm really enjoying the quick release spring bars. Had a look and they are available on some of the straps on that site. Highly recommended to enable fast easy change should the mood or occasion take you. :)
