A Service Time

Post by The_Rossatron » Wed Mar 29, 2006 1:36 pm

just got a call from Murrays seems my service is due a bit earlier than I though - bad memory, at least they reminded me.

So what are the alternatives to stumping up £300+

- Dan from Jude Perfomances (are they VAT registered)
- Falkland performance

?

Though a poll may be interesting on this one!

Which service is it? IIRC My "A" service from Falklands was about £125 inc fully synthetic oil +VAT.

Good service all round.

Someone on here had a recent A at MMC and it was £380 with no consumables. F1 in newc say theyll do it for £260, heard good things about the other two. I take it that its out of warranty.

sweet, if only I could have held on for two more minutes! Ah well I hear they have a pill for it.

Ed - it's outtta warranty, had it serviced by MMC last time, good service car came back shiny etc but £380! no thanks! Was that a Rover motor?

Not really constructive, but check out how chuffed we're getting from MMC if this lot can do it for £160!

However, I'm not sure if one of their stamps in your book counts as FLSH! If not, probably sounds like a better bet to go to Falkland (against my better judgement) given the hike involved.

I'll probably be going to Falkland too. Anyone know if they have any courtesy cars or not? I've been there for geo before but not for a service.

That was 380 and a rushed clean, inside not touched. MMC will not be seeing me again soon apart from warranty work

If the car came back at least like new that would be something. I actually called them at lunch to ask how the car was going 'it's on the test drive' was the reply yet I had to wait 40min while they printed the bill at 4pm and the car looked like they had just wet it :( :( :(

Fcuk um

I just got my B service done at Longniddry garage (as recommeded by Giles) - chap there has had a couple of Elises himself & works on quite a few. Service was good, much cheaper than MMC (there's a surprise...)

I'll go there again next time.

Tim
