Dive computers, are they worth it for a recreational diver? What should I look for in one, other than water resistance at a reasonable depth of about 25-30m?

Gregr'

I can recommend the Gekko.

I bought one last year as a back up for my old Eon and it is a goodpiece of kit. The more expensive Sunnto's have additional features but if you are maybe going to do one dive holiday a year or so then the Gekko is good.

When things go wrong on a dive they can go very wrong very quickly. When that happens your computer may well save your life.

Take care,

Frank

I usually just hire one at the dive centre for a few pence a day, but as above said these things can save your life and the hired ones are usually about 10 years out of date,
