Whiplash

Post by Scotty C » Sun Jul 13, 2008 9:01 am

I thought it was too good to be true, just getting away with broken ribs.

I went to the doctor on Friday as I am getting a numb felling down the underside of my arm from my elbow all the way to the tips of my pinkie and the finger next to it (the wedding ring finger).

This has been caused by a damaged or trapped nerve. I will have to go to the hospital next week for an x-ray and maybe a scan.

Plus point is he gave me co-dydramol pain killers, now I can get a goods nights sleep

Aww cr4p! Hopefully nothing permenant.

I had some damaged nerves removed from my foot a couple of years ago (following a broken ankle). It was great for a while; I could stub my toes and feel no pain... till the nerves started to grow back in

Sounds like you need to be contacting some of these Ambulance Chasing (No Win -No Fee)companies who will negotiate on your behalf against the lovely ladies insurance company?

The insurance company have this in hand, I got a letter from HBJ claims solutions in Glasgow. They will be handling my claims.

Would rather be healthy then have any type of claim.

I was really looking forward to my ribs healing and being able to collect the 2-11 from the factory (Nick Adams had invited me to collect it from Hethel show me round and go out on track). I have now canceled that and getting the car delivered to Murrays (I am sure Graeme makes a good cup of tea?)

Fingers crossed I will be ok for FF in 6 weeks.

PITA.

What a PITA  I still have fond memories of following you and Nick on TT2002. Seem to remember an Air Ambulance appeared during that run, not that any of us noticed it

Hoping you have a speedy recovery

That sounds nasty scotty - is it just the pinky and wedding ring? Sounds like an ulnar neuritis or something - fingers crossed its caused by a bump to the elbow rather than anything spinal.

HBJ "Claims Solutions" are the Claims arm of HBJ Gately Waring LLP. You'll have a paralegal dealing with things for you most likely. Give me a shout if you need any help/advice along the way :)

Fingers crossed you're ok mate - keep us posted :thumbsup
