I called round a few insurance companies and overall CCI have come back with a good quote that includes 4 trackdays per year, 30 day euro cover etc They have insisted that I get a tracker fitted to my car.
I don't mind as they were £300 cheaper then anyone else (I take it I am a high risk

) Nice piece of mind as well.
Anyone got one on there car or can recomend what type to get?
Cheers

Audi Recommend Cobra Trac, and looking at their website the system does seem alot better than Tracker.
Although it is more expensive.....

I've got a Tracker Retrieve fitted to my Elise (
http://www.tracker.co.uk/home.php?SVR/Works/retrieve ). It was fitted prior to me buying the car, and I paid £355

for life membership. It's probably the cheapest level of service they offer as it only becomes active once you inform them and they start looking for it. I'd recommend it as far as I've no idea where it is on the car (and they won't tell you) and if it would work if called upon... Had a look at the website but couldn't find a price for it, but a google search gave
http://www.mobilezone.co.uk/ which shows Retrieve for £255 which includes the first years subscription.
Obviously worth it for the cheaper insurnce though as I'm currently paying £350 a year for 12k miles and commuting with mods declared

weird it has "Specific Vehicles only" and Lotus isn't one of them
I will need Euro cover as well.
I have called a few places to get quotes.

Think the Tracker range do France and Spain also, but no idea if anyone else goes further afield...

Given the rarity of your car and that the parts would be sold for more than the car itself the chances are that if stolen it's going to be transported quickly, probably under cover to somewhere it can be stripped down.
With that in mind you'll probably want to get one that works not only on GNSS systems but also a local radio so that it gets round being hidden in buildings etc.

Just spoke to Tracker. Retrieve is no longer fitted. Base model in range is now Monitor. £349 fitted inc. VAT, and £350 on top for life of vehicle ownership (or £125pa for annual but I don't suppose you'll want that...

)

Yep, I had to get a tracker fitted at the request of the insurace company (Direct Line).
went for the Tracker Monitor Lifetime subscription too. I think Traker stopped doing the Retrieve system as it wasn't accepted by the insurance companies.

I have one in my 360. Annual contract is about 140 GBP.
How much is the insurance?

850

, that's as much as I pay for the 360 & I was banned for 12 months 3 years ago.
I guess you haven't got a good driving history
Have you tried Heritage insurance? They also give you 4 free TD covers. For the Exige S valued at 40k GBP, I paid 770 GBP, no tracker required.

try Egger Lawson insurance and also Caterham do their own insurance now also -

I'm not sure if Egger LAwson have a website yet - i'll find the phone number for you (If you want the whole saga see Blingchat).
You might not need a Tracker with them.

I called Adrian Flux- I am with them already = they said no thank you
A-plan were not to bad and didn't need a tracker, but by the time you add trackdays, eurocover.
Chris Knott - way out
I also called heritage and Eggar Lawson but that was over a month ago and I can't remember why I didn't go with them.
I have had 2 claims in the last 2 years.
7.5k totally my fault, 12.5k hitting the deer my fault??? oh and the Exige but thats got nothing to do with me. I do have 9 years NCB
Car is left in a lockup with not the best postcode in ABZ. But i take it thats to do with house break in's
Thanks anyway

I'd go for the cheapest solution. If it get's nicked do you really want it back?
Spending more for a securer solution isn't decreasing your premium any more. That suggests to me that the insurance companies don't recognize the different technologies as less or more secure. (or am I missing something here?)
