My first track outing....

Wow, what a cracking evening!
I was a bit dubious as the weather was appalling, rain, sleet and snow, but fortunatly it mostly cleared. Track was damp in patches but I kept it together mostly with only 2 moments.... One coming off the hairpin, perfectly balenced and wonderfully controlled, the second was a somewhat ragged departure from Clark's.....

(stayed on the track though!

)
Big :thubsup to Alan my instructor, perfect pointers and not too pushy to begin with, then it was faster, wider, later, etc.

I just seemed to have a mental block when it came to running wide on exits
Car performed admirably but my discs are a funny blue colour (Again!

)
Looking forward to joining you all on a track someday soon!

Definatly a good place to start, only me and a scooby on the track. Never even saw each other. Nice and relaxed and I was driving to my limits (and a little beyond

)
The only observation was that I didn't get much of a feel for the car's limits only mine

Would have been good to see what happens in a safe, no traffic, environment.
Certainly helped with my track day fears, now all I need is a bit of light traffic to deal with

(ie: let past me!)

I've never done knockhill before, wouldn't mind doing 13th or the 21st - which day is more likely to see more SE'ers?

What time we have to leave??
Glad you enjoyed it Rich. I did that as my first track outing and loved it.

Instructor was as you described. Top way into track driving I reckon.
