Spanners and Sponges

Post by Lawrence » Wed Apr 05, 2006 9:17 am

It looks like the first official Spanners and Sponges of the year may be this weekend or next depending if everyone goes off to Duns for the Jim Clark do

Main interest will be that FD intends to change his Elise clutch and Cambell's car must need a clean by now :)

Usual 9:00 till 9:00 times both Saturday and Sunday

and on a webcam near you :)

Excuse the ignorance, but where (or what) is Duns? I'm about this weekend, where will the S&S day be? I have my own spanner and sponge if that helps.... :)

Thanks, whats going on there this weekend? Or have I missed it being in a secure compound, insulated from the real, big and scary world outside guarded by men with guns? (Actually, yes I have....)

You can wash mine if you want Tom.....

Or even take it to bits if you really want, bound to be something to fix.

I know you can fix the handbrake cable rattling against the undertray (Again...!)

For Colin's sake Rich surely you know Duns? Jimmy will be turning in his grave at such sacriligeous ignorance.

Actually I have no idea what it is this weekend, but it will revolve round ACBC's best driver

Spanners came about in a bid to help folk learn more about their cars working parts, sponges were added by Campbell after lunch. :)

OK got Jim Clark, but Duns? Nope, Sorry Colin (Chapman?*)

Been Googling and it looks like it is the 40th anniversary of JC's death at Hockenheim :(

Where is S&S then? I know which end of a spanner to hold and I'm a dab hand with a hammer

I have even used a sponge, once, a long time ago.

I'll load up the Liz with stuff and I'll come along if someone will disclose the location....
