That seems such a long, long, loooong time ago now

It wasn't too much time later when Ed rocked up with the brand spanking new black Exige, I really fkin hated the bstard that day. Ed you should never have sold that car you knob, but you know this already.

It's all Dave hays fault, he got A vx220 and let me have a shot!! Yeah yellow one was my first and it started the addiction. Should never have sold the black Exige, worth more/ as much compared to what sold it for in 2007! Chew backer was great fun but a temperamental bugger. Scandal Sport 160 was epic, sport 135 was great, blue 111r served its purpose and the only car I've ever made money on.

No regrets, met a great bunch of people but did spunk a lot of cash.

Long term plan is an Evora but currently getting my fix from two wheels.

It all seems so recent. I remember seeing ed's yellow one parked off Leith Walk (what was the development called again?). Then I saw that black Exige. Drool. When they were virtually just out. Still, you replaced it with something special ...

I'd only just got my license back and was offered the VX at trade price, so being young and dumb, i paid a whack on insurance and booked my first track day! (No checks on it, other than that it was 1 owner car) Nailed my first KH track day and went into duffus for the third time and i'd cooked the brake fluid, brake pedal to the floor and my ass hanging out of the roof desperately grabbing the handbrake to scrub some speed!!!

Anyway, we were living at Willowbrae Heights at that point and Ed was massively VW Golf fixated so let him have a shot of the VX which he liked and told him about SE, which i had been a member of since my first job in '99, my first run being with Paul G and a Sweeping up the leaves run! I was hooked and i think it rubbed off on Ed! No sooner he was buying his first Lotus, albeit in a yellow that wasn't to many peoples liking and being passed off as a 111S!

very shortly Paine Snr soon became involved...

The story continues...

Love this place and all the people I have met through it!
