Finished of my first set of rear tyres on the Exige last night. Apologies if this has been asked before, but does anyone know the best place to get a pair of rear A048 tyres? Seem to remember someone telling me that the correct spec LTS marked tyre is not available from the usual outlets and have to be ordered through a Lotus main stealer - is this correct?

Thanks,
Mark

Both Ali and I got ours from MMC cause we get a 5% discount for a half set. Ended up being £350 ish including fitting. Think book a track can deliver them for £310 ish. Andy G is proposing a group buy, he needs a full set and i only need fronts, so rears for yourself would complete the second set. :D

you can order them thru achinlee tyres out at wishaw - they're cheaper then normal outlets cos they normally only do industrial vehicles. but i wouldn't trust them to jack the car up tho!

i normally take my wheel off and drive it to them in my other car to get the tyre changed - i wouldn't trust some spotty 16yo to know where ot jack my elise!

I need another full set (after Donington, end of the month) and probably another set of rears after the 'ring/Spa (end of May). Would be up for a group buy. MMC discount is 10% on a full set.

I want to stick to the proper LTS version which I doubt places other than MMC, Eliseparts (and Bookatrack???) would be able to get.

Would this be a group buy from MMC or Bookatrack?

Try http://www.blackcircles.com

Have used them in the past and they stock make/model specific tyres.

I'd be interested in a set for the Esprit

225/15 fronts, 245/16 rears

might try to stretch to 235/255s.. but will measure

I'd be looking for a soft-medium or medium compund
