Aye, It was a good show, thought the Walberg SIRPC interview was funny too but I just didn't get the point of the blender bit. it took up too much time & I'm sure they could've actually filled it with something more worthy.

I think it's a 'you get it or you don't' gag. I'm constantly going on about how things (motability scooters, lawnmowers, drills) would be better with a V8, so when Elaine saw this come on, she just looked at me with that knowing roll of the eyes...

I was almost on the floor laughing...

At the end of the day, it was what - 3 mins in an hour long show? 5 mins tops. What else would you have fit in there, an in-depth review of a Koenigsegg?

VW refuse to give them a Bug to track - they've done a long distance race in one and a daft thing with a Typhoon.

Question would be why don't VW give them one to track - scared the legendarily rough TG 'testing' (read: ham-fisted thrashing) would break their 1.2 mil euro car and make them look bad?

I am sure a customer would give them one, IF they wanted one.

My money is on it getting beat. doesn't look good when your "ultimate supercar" turns out to be slow on track.

The Chevvy lump/gearbox/transaxle could've been put to better use in the back of the Avantime. <BG>

It think the grumpy and humourless amoung us still don't get it's an entertainment show. The V8 bit was worth it for the "desperate shag in a skip" comment alone. Incidently we were discussing (for some strange reason) in work recently the craze in America for V8 chain saws, see youtube for vids of craziness. I just kept thinking of the damage Dom could do with a V8 angle grinder.

and Hakkinens face when May was driving was priceless.
