Sat Nav in a Lotus

It must be a typo

According to the latest Lotus Blurb the Europa S will be coming with Sat Nav fitted. Handy for finding a dealer then :)

So were will it fit? Are there music boxes with this sort of thing built in?

Was this an option on the VX220?

Please spill the beans on what's hot in ICE these days :P

Alpine do/did a flip out screen with satnav, all in a standard DIN sized slot

(Autocar mag had one fitted to their black Clio V6, i.e. I'm no techie   )

Scandalous. (or however you spell it) They should give you an option of a Tom tom for the customers that want it rather than fit a unit in the dash.

I perhaps should add that there are zero options with this car other than the colours.

Stuck to the windscreen where you can't reach it?

Between the seats so you can reach it but can't see it?

It'll make it a bit more of a tourer I suppose. Shame it wasn't integrated into the dash though.

VX turbots had the single DIN blaupunkt navigation as an option if you ticked the "take all my money i've got too much" option when it came to ICE.

Not sure if its the same system but IIRC its not amazing

In defence of satnav, I borrowed a mates tomtom when I went down to Exeter to get my car, it was great - put in destination postcode, it told me it would take 7hrs, off I went and arrived at the door of the garage almost to the minute. Also was amazed at how far out the speedo in the Exige is.

Would never buy one, but it did work for me!

I had an E-class in Germany which had awesome Sat Nav.

Gave me so much confidence and still didn't manage to get lost. Due to a traffic jam it even re-calculated my directions to get to a trade show, that took us an unbelievable route! I doubt anyone but a well clued up local would have thought of the route we went in the end! (and the lack of traffic proved the point!)

Hugely impressed...but in a Lotus...surely going gay early!

Getting lost allows us to recce for road runs :D
