Maybe plan on a bit longer than 2 years for the daft as a brush stage..... 😂😂

Our golden is 3.5, calm and lazy in the house for a good 9 months now but show her another dog and she reverts to full pup mode and completely deaf!!

Brilliant friendly obedient (other than above!) and very loving family dog..... Whether her true heritage includes any kind of ability to serve a working function I would definitely question though.... I genuinely believe I have better senses, ability and coordination!

Agree with the longer than two years still being daft as a brush .
We got Charlie almost three years ago (he will be 3 the end of this month ) from Sandti
http://sandtigoldens.com/index.asp?ID=3
They were great to deal with and he's is the most loving and usually obedient dog we have had but like the others say once another dog comes into the picture you can shout all you like he just wants to say hello!!
Had to change my car as he's around 34kg so not as big as some but we had a cocker last so a big step.
Wouldn't be without him so enjoy your pup :)

All good - do enjoy a bit of madness around the house - a Springer ensures that

Hadn't seen Sandti before - not too far from us but we're getting the wee man from Strathmiglo thru the GR Club of Scotland, and the Kennel Club states that during lockdown breeders can deliver pups at 8wks under DEFRA rules so we are happy :D

Just over 2 weeks and counting <BG>

Hopefully things will have started to easy by the time his vaccinations kick in but what's the plan for training and socialisation?

Was thinking the other week folk that got pups right at the start of this must have struggled with the socialisation....

Yeah he'll be 12wks old mid-June so things should have relaxed a little by then when we're taking him up the park and he can meet with other doags. A few of our neighbours have pooches too so the socialising aspect shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Wife is planning on doing puppy classes - I did this with our Springer back in 05 so he was great with me and less so with her

Who knows when classes will be starting tho :|

Marley is a wee cracker Ed - Lab?

I presume he's met Poppy the Fox Red Lab and her walker Mr Dave?

My Walter did - and lets say they got on rather well :blackeye

As per my posts above we got Walter bang on 8 weeks old mid-May - and to say he's an utter delight is an understatement - he's now 10 months old an 40 kg so is a big strong boy 8)

Will post pics up when I have more time and can remember how to :damnfunny

Hey Ross, hope you are yours are well. She’s actually a lab cross golden retriever. Didn’t stay that size for long. Marley is 2 days older than Poppy and thankfully they have met a couple of times.

Jeepers, 40kg?! Have you been feeding him desperate Dan’s pies??

Thankfully Marley is a more manageable 23kgs or so! Hoping she doesn’t get too much bigger as I’m too tight to buy another crate!

As you can probably tell we are chuffed as f*ck with him (my Facebook and Instagram is plentiful with pics  ), he has a fantastic loving nature, only downside is he doesn't realise his size and still loves to cuddle up on your lap on the sofa

Yeah all good thanks! Ha no worries, get that a lot. Should have picked a more feminine name.

Wowsers, he is a big boy! She’s great, loverly temperament and great with the kids thankfully. They really do get under your skin!!

Well we’ve gone from no dogs to one and very quickly to two, one of the best things we’ve done, introduced Zac back in August 2019, Rio has now joined us in August 2020, already bigger than his bro, great guys full,of energy and funImage
