Decided to increase the number of 4 legged guys in the house with a new pup.
Will be bringing him home on Saturday at 8 weeks old and thought I would post up a couple of pics of the little guy and some of his family.

Introducing "PJ" .. a Brindle coloured Great Dane.
The name comes from the fact that the first time we ever saw a Brindle we both immediately thought it looked like a dog in pyjamas..

He is likely to turn out a big boy. This is mum (75kg) and dad (95kg) chilling out together.

And on show in the ring

This is cousin Big Mac

And Aunt Tabitha

Saturday should be fun :)

Lovely James,

Just what you were needing, cause the current clan are so quiet, discrete, never once did they ever look like they could jump that fence........

Personal point of view but, not particularly an advocate of it. Obviously Bloat is a fairly emotive subject in relation to large breeds but I personally think that being aware of how to minimise it's likeyhood and how to recognise the symptoms early enough and, equally importantly, making sure that your vet is familiar with the emergency surgical procedures required to treat it, then that's good enough for me.
