Sold up and went Japanese

Hi All,
Sorry I have not been on for a while, I have been busy with the new job. I have sold the VX220 and decided to go Japanese. After searching for months I have finally bought a FQ320 in Blue. I am absolutely loving it.
It is such a different car to the VX. It is very quick and I am still trying to adjust my driving to suit the new set-up. Hopefully I will get it out on a run soon or may even make it to knockhill with this one.
I will try and post some pics over the weekend as I actually have a holiday from my work for two days.
Wil
Edit: for sp..

enjoy ! RWD is still a fine way to travel though but for B-road blasts these types of chariots are asphalt munchers

Wil,
Couple of SE'r have had an Evo and absolutely love the car (me included). One of the fastest point to point cars you can have.
If you need any advice on mods etc then try the MLR. Also Extreme at Whitburn have a great knowledge of all things Evo when it comes mods/servicing time.
Enjoy and remember that if you have an Evo is sometimes laughs at you when going round corners i.e. thinks you are being chicken for not going round faster.
Cheers
DMW

Knockhill

You've got as much chance of seeing john get above 80mph as you have of getting Will to knockhill

Sorry for dragging the neighbourhood down (meatball), I will try and drive quietly.
I was slightly humoured by the first couple of posts last night slagging my choice, but I am really enjoying it so far. The car is completely standard and has a full ralliart service history. I have been pointed in the direction of extreme. DWM has anyone ever used them before? If so are they any good or am I as well going to the main dealer for the next service.
My overall review of the car is that is very different to the VX220. It feels very fast in a straight line and when you go round corners it - as someone states - it urges you to go faster (which is a bad thing). I think my next car will be a lotus of some sort but I really wanted to do the 4wd thing before buying an exige or somthing,
Does anyone have any advice on things I need to check for. For instance, common faults etc. I have been reading the MLR forum posts a fair bit and no-one seems to post anything bad about the IX, which hopefully means it is a fairly bullet proff variant.
As for knockhill, I really need to get use out of this helmet I bought
As for Lazy, when did you buy a bike, I always had Jon down for one before you? Also what did you buy in the end Jon?
Wil
PS Here is what the car looks like

Indeed but
Wet track + KH + Hairpin(or any corner) + Lotus + right foot =
Good luck with it - if you want to see one being driven round KH on its door handles, try and get a pax with Big D next time he's on track
