And virtually everyone is calling from a call centre in Mumbai (Bombay), Delhi or Calcutta.

If you register Telephone Preference Service it makes it illegal for anyone to cold call you. We went from about 4 calls a day to amybe 1 a month.

I once got three double glazing companies all to arrive at my door at the same time, pity for them I was out House was only six months old and had double glazing anyway.

I registered with the telephone preference service years ago and rarely get any calls. If I do I just wind them up. If you register through BT Privacy at Home you get registered with Telephone Privacy Service and also FREE Caller Display. I reregistered just to get the Free caller display
