Re: New toy
Mike,
If you want any discounted parts and servicing, then if you join the Porsche Club GB then you get a discount of approx 10% (plus various other benefits). Joined this year as my service was due and with the Porsche Club GB membership it was practically free with the membership fee/discount I received. However given me some discounts on Porsche goodies.

Re: New toy
Who knew a 2 seater car wouldn’t work as a daily with 2 little ones .
Just wasn’t the right car for me tbh as it was no where near as good as the lotus on track, plus the Golf is a better daily.

Re: New toy
Mike,
Make sure you go for the AC Schnitzer springs on the 330D, was always meaning to on the 335D as they seemingly transform the car. If you are pressing along the car is a little bit "floaty" in the corners and definitely does not feel as secure.
Lovely motor - first thing I would do is debadge and you have a great stealh weapon.

Re: New toy
Mines not a XDrive George so comes on M-sport springs, XDrives come on SE springs, so sit slightly higher as standard.

Re: New toy
Interesting replacement for the Cayman. Keeping the Elise then ?
And surely same size and load space as the golf, can't imagine much difference hence me considering a golf as
replacement for my 3 series touring ?

Re: New toy
Yeah Ian, really enjoyed the Elise last weekend at KH, forgot how much fun they are on track! It was like a new car to me as I haven’t driven it for so long too
The BMW is definitely bigger than the Golf, but not by much tbh. Golf will be staying. Love that car!!

Re: New toy
Nice Mike, will be interesting to hear your thoughts after a few miles.
F31 is what I’m after to replace the Skoda, 330d is probably all I need but can’t help but feel I’d always wish I’d gone for the 335d. Comedy ride height as standard on the 335d puts me off though.

Re: New toy
Fitted my 330d M Sport Tourer (F31) with the AC Scnitzer springs as when I bought it M Sport suspension wasn't an option.
All I can say is brilliant, do it you won't regret it and it's a very cost effective upgrade that won't affect the warranty.
