Never really bought into the idea of an online magazine. Magazines are for lounging on the sofa with a beer - you don't want to be stuck in front of a pc, especially if you do that all day at work. I hope we see Jethro Bovingdon and Dickie Meaden back on another mag soon though - both really good writers when at EVO, and Meaden used to own an S2 Exige so he is clearly a man of great taste

Good group of writers though - hope they haven't burnt bridges with the main mags. Used to enjoy their stuff but never even bothered to register with the website.

It's not a bad idea as such - i think where the concept is flawed is with the revenue model. You'd need it to be subs based as I can't see online advertising supporting it alone.
When i was involved in online advertisign years ago it was difficult to make any money from it, and i can only imagine it's worse now.

Don't forget about Chris Harris - Really enjoy reading his stuff, and he used to do a really entertaining podcast for Autocar...

Had a feeling this might be in the offing seeing as there wasn't any new content in the last wee while.

I liked reading Chris Harris's stuff as well. I have to admit, I thought he was making a mistake leaving autocar. I assumed when he did leave it would be to a TV car show.
Still its pitty.

Yeah I miss CH's column in Autocar. Steve Sutcliff now has a column instead which isn't nearly as good, although he does earn mucho respect for being one of the few journos who has been a successful racer (Caterhams and TVR Tuscans IIRC)

That's a shame that those guys have left - have to say I never used DR as a substitute for a car magazine - sitting on a pc is just not the same as sitting at the kitchen table ignoring your better half with your nose buried in a group test of some description
I did like browsing through their site though - the video reviews they did were very good.
