Last chance - AMP3 TD Walshy - closing at 5pm!!!!

Post by Andy G » Thu Aug 27, 2009 3:36 pm

Well it will be for 2 people!

We have a a very special guest, well as special as a Welshman can be , confirmed for the AMP3 Trackday next Friday!!!!

Yes you've guessed it, Carlimits very own Andrew "Walshy" Walsh will be coming up for the event, accompanied by the lovely Em!

Now, better news for MND Scotland, and the fundraising aspect, is that I'm now pimping Walshy out!

This is the first time for the Welshman north of the border (he only agreed to come as we've sheep here also, and Scotty talked a good game about Velcro gloves) in a good few years, and yes we are going to hold an open online "auction" for a 30 minute coaching session with Walshy.

Now keep in mind this is a one to one session, does not involve a 800 mile round trip, and will be at Knockhill, so you can put your learnings to use on the day. Add that to the fact he's coming up at his own expense to help us raise more cash, and i hope you are feeling generous!

The 2 winning bids (highest offers) , will be allocated each a 30 minute slot.

Now Shug has opened the bidding with £50 :thumbsup

Yup - if you don't know Walshy, he's the driving loon behind http://www.carlimits.com This is the recognised school to learn how the Elise handles, although he's trained a variety of people in a variety of cars. His style is very calm and controlled (when teaching) and he can do some pretty incredible things behind the wheel.

As Andy says, this is a once in a very long time opportunity - Walshy doesn't come up to Scotland to teach any more. Obviously, it'll be slightly more limited in that you're on a track with other drivers and not an airfield, but you'll be amazed what a few well considered suggestions will give you.

So, get bidding folks. The cheapest way to get Walshy tuition otherwise involves £180 fee plus travel to essex and back.

The double benefit is that he's a mental Welshman, but we'll explore that more at the BBQ

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.
