Ive used mine a few times without too much hassle at all, we used it to navigate around manchester where I had no idea where we were going at all and was brilliant. And when using it to find postcodes that I had no idea where they were it usually gets me exactly to the correct point.
I guess occasionally it doesnt quite pick up your exact location, ie. it may have just to the side of a road not on it, but Ive never found it to be so far out that you cant use it to navigate correctly.

Use the google maps app almost everyday
Used as a map/planning you really cant beat it but if its Sat- Nav you
need, the tom tom app is highly recommend. Not cheap at £60ish mind you

IIRC the copilot app is around £25.

Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.

Used it to find a curry house in the car and worked a treat
Use it cycling with mapmyride and again it works fine for "bread-crumb" mapping

Only to be expected, tom tom is a high priced dedicated sat nav
