Moving down from the Sunny Dunny...whats the parking /rent/crime blah blah all like...cheers for ANY info.

Was down today...sunny 8) . The place looked sexy :shock: It is a quality lookin place...

last time sanjoy was there he was playing swingball with one the lights!

The bulb dropped out which one of my mates caught and it burnt his hand!! :lol: :roll:

You renting or buying? can be a great range of prices:-

stockbridge 1 bedroom flat :- £192,000 (honestly!)
portabello 1 b/room flat:- £69,000

rent - depends on the area - high spec Leith flats can be comparatively reasonble, and if they're new builds they HAVE to have an allocated parking space.

Crime - I certainly feel safer here than I did in my 23 years in Dundee, all the schemes are well out of the way (unlike the fantastic Hulltoon!) However, I read the other day that Princess Street is a crime capital of the country :? Keep your wallet in your front pocket and you'll be fine :)

I think that statistic is based on percentages, and so is a bit untrue. Actual number of crimes(and most stuff on princes street is shoplifting)is not high at all. And crimes where any injury is sustained to anyone are much lower than anywhere else(city wise).

Edinburgh is pretty safe (touch wood).

Obviously there are pikey's about as you would find in every town, but its a great place to stay :D
