F1's greatest drivers

Post by Digital » Fri Dec 11, 2009 12:49 am

...as voted for by the drivers themselves: http://f1greatestdrivers.autosport.com/

Makes for interesting reading, without giving away the results I'm a little surprised numbers 5 and 8 aren't a little higher.

Outside the top 40 it gets really strange: http://forums.autosport.com/index.php?showtopic=120248 - Nakajima (jr) present but not Coulthard, Tony Maggs (had to look that one up on Wikipedia) higher than Bruce McLaren, Tonio Liuzzi and Stefano Modena in there - WTF? :?

If Senna was still alive today, would he be ranked above Schumacher ?

I've always suspected not.

Dying at the top of your game has always been a good career move. seriously I am with you there was he 3 places better than prost ? Piquet jr binned his car so a team mate would win and he is an arse, Senna parks his car on his rivals roof at the first corner and he is a hero for his do or die attitude.
