Going to buy one this week.
I had a 60GB ipod but I dropped it and it eventually died.

So, in the market for a new one.
Anything better than the ipod?
£200 mark. No smaller than 30GB.

I have a Creative Zen Touch which I think is very good for sound quality . Its quite old but going strong . Survived being dropped and hitting the front footwell very hard under severe braking .Available on Ebay new quite cheap.

Never used an ipod , too expensive.

30gb, check out the iAudio x5.

Having said that we've got an awesome deal on some of the Archos multimedia players (av400 series), which also have movie playback.

Worth checking though how much of your music libary is in aac before changing from iPod.

I've got an Archos av500 and an old Sonyl NWHD5 for the car which are awesome, and you have the additional benefit of plugging int he bullet camera to the av500 when on track (and your car is working!!)

Zen Vision M 30GB gets a lot of good press and price has just fallen from £249 to £219.

The Sony's do tend to have the better battery life but you can get an X5L which has 35 hours!

Did you ever manage to get the player to play MP3's? I bought a Kenwood KDC-MP6090R (of eBay) which supposedly plays MP3's however I have now made about 5 coatsers trying various ways to get it to recognise them. I have used iTunes and Nero but to no avail.

I am pretty sure it is the 6090R I have and no problems at all with MP3 CDs. Just dumped them on in folders nested and all sorts and worked a dream... Maybe it is not the CDs...
