After TalkTalk have just increased my Broadband charges by 50% with no consultation, I have told them to eff off and gone back to BT. Got most of the way through and then it stopped because I did not have a MAC number. However up popped Nicole to help me out. Thought she was a robot, but would appear not:-

Nicole: Can you not type this in on the order form?
David Duncan: It stops when I can not put in my MAC code.
Nicole: David, type "unknown" on the order form where it asks for your mac code?
David Duncan: Ah so, thank you, I am being thick today. Fancy joining me for dinner tonight?

David Duncan: Ah well, thanks for the help, goodnight.

Iain, would love to have gone with O2 the same as Ian did, ie line, rental, phone package with BT and Broadband with you, but when I checked online it said I was not in O2's area as I am not LLU. Can I still get that deal anyway?

BT are charging me £16 for an expected 1.5Mbps, even though their online check for my postcode and number states 5Mbps.

ps his activation went through fine, router will be delivered next week.

According to the online tool ,O2 can deliver via BT at speeds of up to 1.5 meg as you are currently outside of our network.
So no improvement on the speeds that BT are offering.
