no snap decision now....................... :blackeye

Mark....... the ads for old RS's always make me chuckle.......i had 2 Mk2 RS2000, one signal red 80 (salmon pink, nicked) and one beige/taupe (can't remember the right description) yuk! immaculate but yuk!

They look so square and upright now but the pics of the Mk1 1 turbo, that profile, vile.

A mate had a full set over the years (except mk 1's, shame as they are probably the best now), Mk2 RS 2000's (one a concourse car), Mk3 1600i, Mk1 turbo, sierra cosworth (proper 3 door one, superb) and finally an escort cosworth, we also detailed Mk2 RS1800 which was outstanding and prepared a Mk1 Mexico (think it was gold/beige) while retaining the patina...........great days and mucky hands

But looking back at the cars now most have dated badly except the Mk1's.....shame... :(

New competition :

Guess the mileage G has put on all the cars he has owned since being on SE...

/just jealous of your ability to get motivated to make the change.

Is this the first case of car OCD in the UK ?

Gareth, curious to know how you rate the Z4M. Good and bad points? Wasn't very impressed by the boggo Z4 soft top I drove, but I am sure the M is a different beast and I have always liked the coupe shape far more.

Exige 240PP
Focus RS - awaits slagging but does everything I need, getting me out in bad weather big one! Not interested in buying a daily burner.

Not sure how much better an RS would be than an exige in the snow with big fat fronts and lots of torque - won't be as bad, for sure, but won't be massively better IMO. You'd still be nicking the disco and pissing off the wife...
