No Shell V power left in the country.

Post by Dave » Fri Mar 26, 2010 12:54 pm

After spending the last couple of days stopping at every Shell station only to find "sorry, sold out" label on every V power pump, I had to fill up with normal petrol, speaking with the Attendant he didn’t know when his next delivery of V power was and allegedly it's the same for the whole country. So those heading to KH tomorrow it might be worth bearing this in mind if you need super unleaded.

Yes acording to a thread on SELOC that is correct the whole countrys run out of V power, there is only 1 refinery in the UK producing the stuff

Interesting. Both the VX and Elise are almost due a refill so i'll have to check Scumdee. I'm betting with the Pickeys up here there will be some somewhere ;)

Why put V-Power in an S1? It's got no knock sensor...

I stockpiled 40 litres in jerry cans last weekend. Maybe I could auction it at KH. Just off to Campfield Filling Station (near Torphins) to see if they have any more.

I don't (too expensive for me).

My plan was to look when I fill either/both cars tonight and post back in case some of the Aberdeen lot wanted to fill up on the way to KH tomorrow :thumbsup

V-Power available at the Shell Garage next to PC World, Corstorphine, Edinburgh.

Delivery due at Maybury, Edinburgh tomorrow.

Went to Maybury today and had to get the poor stuff - really hurts mpg in my car for some reason :(

Managed to get 60 litres today for tomorrow from Coatbridge, but yes there does seem to be a shortage as the lady even commented on the amount they had been selling :thumbsup
