Volcanic Ash?

Woke up this morning and the car was covered in very fine dust. I had to hoover the roof and then after washing the car, it only took an hour or so before the car was covered again.

Now it was a completely stunning day and you couldn't detect any dust in the air, but it was thick on all the parked cars locally. So is this volcanic ash from Iceland finally falling on us?

Anyone else seen this today?

I've left the car with the shower cap on tonight so I don't have to hoover the roof again. :)

Mee too.
I noticed the car had been getting pretty grubby the past couple of days, so thought it was about time for a wash this morning.
Before I could even dry it I noticed dust starting to cover it again (neighbour experienced exactly the same).
Not a cloud in the sky and no noticeable amount of pollen, so could only put down to volcanic ash.
Still, should be good for the garden

We've got dust in Sheffield too. It's just dust. No traces of volcano ash. Might be different further north...

The experts have said that the ash is like a fine talcom powder; not the contents of a cigarette ash tray. I have noticed that my (dark blue) car has been showing up a lot off fine pale dust.... or ash. :|

Yip, same here. Both cars totally covered in a fine dust only an hour after washing them both.

The clio is red and has a thick layer of dirt on it already so you don't notice, it was really noticable on the elise the last time I saw it

Got the same thing. reddy-brown in colour. The inside of the car is covered as well from it sitting with the roof off. :(
