Hi Folks

Post by GenCuster » Sun May 30, 2010 5:39 pm

Hey Guys

Back after a bit of a prolonged absence. Bit of financial meltdown last year led to the VX220 turbo being sold.

Anyway, things are looking up and a couple of weekends ago the time had come to get a new steed and a trip to Norfolk beckoned. Regrettably not for a new Lotus but a second hand scooby. As much as I'd love an Elise when the crunch came it doesn't have ISOFIX and 4 seats......and no I can't afford an Evora!

Anyway, hope to see a few of you about - if a black sti with a conspicuously small boot spoiler flashes - you'll know why!

Cheers

Ah well, no Elise but I'm sure you'll enjoy the Scoob :thumbsup . I sold my 54plate STi PPP about 6 months ago, it was great and of all the cars I've owned it was the one I held onto for longest, 3 years.
p.s I don't suppose you're looking for a stainless 'Afterburner Vortex' silencer by any chance?
I have one here that I took off the car before selling and its still like new.

Cheers Guys for the welome back.

Thanks Lee but not in the market for an Afterburner Vortex. Yeah, had my last Scooby for 5 years and 100K miles and then shifted it because repair bills became excessive - never let me down once and did 70K on one clutch! I was not sure about the 6 cylinder sti but have really warmed to it - really smooth and effortless performance.

Cheers

Eh? I didn't think there was such a thing? I thought even the 2.5 was still a boxer 4?

The Jap cars stuck with 4 but UK went to 6. Probably emissions driven but I'm not sure...

I thought that as well, i thought it was only the legacy 3.0 Spec B that was a 6 cylinder Boxer

Holy smoke! I stand corrected - you're both right. No idea where I invented that from

Anyway - what I do know is that's it's definitely black and definitely has no gold wheels or a big spoiler. I'll post up pics when I figure out the IT.

Cheers

It's a hawkeye Lee. Not a fan of the hatch but apparently the saloon version will be available in UK spec very soon and I do like the look of that.
