Fizzin' mad Edit: Happy now

Post by kenny » Thu Jul 13, 2006 1:28 pm

  I am one seriously hacked off punter

After 2 months of being pissed about by the garage I am now absolutely seething.
Initially I was told 6th of June for a return of the car, which of course never materialised due to the oil cooler saga that I had to eventually source for them (thanks to Lord Ed and the help of SE on that).

Spoke to the bodyshop manager last week who confirmed all remaining parts were now in and the car would be returned next (ie this) week.

Got a call on Tuesday saying car will be ready Friday. Brilliant says me, just in time for a very sunny holiday weekend. But no. Was called this morning to say its now going to be Wednesday. The guy on the phone must have been glad to get off the phone after the earfull he got. I asked why? Silence followed by er.... we are still waiting on parts. Turns out they need a seal for the headlight as well as a couple of other bits. I enquired as to why the F**k wasnt this ordered two months when the car first came in? No answer given, at least not an adequate one.

I was so looking forward to having the car back and in time for some good weather as well. IF I get it back on Wed it will almost certainly be raining.

Not Perth, but rest assured once the safe (ha!) return of my car is complete there will be a very thorough naming and shaming done.

I'll be going over it with a fine toothed comb to say the least.

My dad is off work at the moment due to some mystery ear problem that buggers up his balance so he will be coming along when I pick it up on Wed. He is the ultimate perfectionist and can spot the tiniest flaw in detail from 50 yards.

It would appear that the garage are not aware of that fact.

Chances are despite being arsed around so badly, it might actually come back better than prior to accident.

The only thing we drop around here is bollocks and the odd panel. Oh and a jet into the sea a few months ago

I know what you are going through. After an incident in a rally in my clio172, I spent nearly 10 weeks, being promised the car back from the bodyshop in 'a couple of days'.

Get on to the most senior person you can, and complain, and beg!

John Martain Group are a bit late with my car at the minute but that's mainly my fault (delaying getting new front tyres to them). But I got a fantastic service with them with the rear clam last year (more than a week ahead of schedule!!). And this time they have bent over backwards to keep me happy and informed every step of the way! Can't complain, but lets see what it's like when I get it back w new front clam :D

I'll be the first to moan about a place if they don't give a good service but credit where it's due..... let see.

I'll be interested to know where your car is Kenny

I'm going over to see them later. Will let you know the outcome.

Dont think there is a hope in hell of any quicker return, I just want to make my point.
Main reason I am so pissed off is the bodyshop manager told me they had all the remaining parts in, then some jizz monkey told me that wasnt the case.
