Hi Mike,

All depends where you end up living, if its new town or anywhere very central without private parking then it can be a bit of a nightmare, however if you are living new development or the few places with no parking restrictions then its a breeze.

Have been very fortunate to live with Ed, private parking, no probs even off Leith walk, a few miles outside the centre at Willowbrae, Garage and private parking, but before that it was a case of finding a space anywhere which could mean a 20 min drive round in circles!

Living on East Claremont with two cars and although you have to find any space you can it's easy!

Dave

Will be interested to hear how long it takes you to get it repaired given my extended repair.

I live in the centre of Edinburgh and now have 3 cars (i know.... ). If I were you i'd try and get into one of the permit areas - pref the new permit areas N1 or S1 - as permits in these areas are £80 for the year and you can have two. Parking is always better in permit areas (IMHO)as it keeps the out of town traffic away.

or a new build as dave says. :D

totally depends where you stay...think Tom's pretty much spot on though.

A drive and a garage make it easier though :D
