I had an even closer one at the 'Ring. Gauge was still reading 2 bars on the track...

Would have been an expensive tow if I'd run out.

At a trackday at Donington I went out to fill up once and it read 44L!

I started arguing about overcharging and calibration arguing my tank holds only 40L but they wouldn't bodge.
So maybe it holds just a little more than 40 L...

Never heard that before, there's nothing in a camera that could ignite fuel :?

Is there not any electrickery in there these days? Not allowed any electronic devices on a forecourt.

Looks like a camera phone from the reflection... :)

They did try very hard
I cant watch anymore though as they spoil everything
Apparently you cant blow a car up with one carfully aimed shot to the gas tank :(

I'm not saying it would explode but it wouldn't stop the owners throwing you off...would be breach of their H&S rules.

Once had a summer job surveying the BP terminal at Aberdeen harbour (which is gradually sliding into the sea). Had to use optical gear 'cos they wouldn't let us on with the electronics. :(
