Carpets

Post by Tom » Tue Jul 18, 2006 4:38 pm

Tried the search-no joy. Where's best for carpets for an S1.? My MMC freebees are falling apart after about 3 weeks. Bell and Colville sell a set for an S1 for £45. Is this as good as I'm gonna get?

If you want to be Sanjoy-pikey about it, you could visit some carpet outlets and grab some industrial carpet samples then use the freebies as templates... Make sure they are not foam backed though.

The early S2's - like mine - still had the cheapo rubber mats in them - and rotten floors!

Weird - Mine was in for the floor repair too.

Just about to pen a snotty e-mail to Lotus complaining as I had to pay extra for the flooring so why should I get the say replacement as the rubber cheapos :D

I got mine for nothing - the carpet looks OK, but I'll probably wear through it in a few weeks! :?

Yes! The OE matts were an expensive option so are very well made! Mines are on 50k / 7years and don't look tooo bad.
