340R for sale - SE offers first!

Post by Andy G » Mon Oct 11, 2010 9:10 am

Hi guys

Just wanted to see if anyone on SE fancied my 340R before i pop up a proper advert for it?

I had intended this one as a keeper, as most of you know, but I've been offered something else, and I'm thinking I fancy a change, and with mini G just round the corner, i think given the green light, i need to go for it!

Anyway, I'm not asking for comical £25k prices, but i will tell any Se'er what I'd take for the car (but would rather keep that to PM) before i advertise it to the great unknowns on PH. Its too sensibly priced according to Mr Boag

If anyone is interested, please PM me.

Car is available with or without the new Nitrons which are simply epic - ask Walshy, McKean, Scotty, Uncle Ron etc etc who have driven it. It as Steve Williams (SW Lotus) proclaimed "the best setup 340R i have ever driven".

It had the belts done in April, along with a C service, and is due another A service now, which it will get before finding a new home. Its done 25k or so, and has been in no accidents.

Unlike most VHPDs this one idles perfectly, and no starting issues either. It also comes with a trickle charger and has had a new battery also.

Its also on Carbon Lorriane RC5 pads, which are epic. Anything it has needed it has recieved. I was going to do it up through winter, as its a staggeringly good car to drive, and the steering, is just amazing. The best of any Loti i've ever driven.

I bought the official 340R tonneau and have had the clips fitted for it also.

Replacement will be announced in due course

Damnit!!! I could only find £15k down the back of the sofa and I reckon that's not gonna be enough.

I would get the speed warped rear wheel as shown in the picture sorted first, looks a bit dodgy! :damnfunny

Disappointed that you are decamping out of the elite 340r ownership! Hope it stays within SE ownership!!

Paul beat me to it on the dodgy wheel (what is it with 340s for sale just now, they've ALL got weird rims on!).

However, are you also throwing in the crazy-looking guy at the wheel?!

Excited for you whatever, and nice of you to think of first-dibs for the SE crowd.

The 340R has an incredibly stable set up and well planted in corners. Great for anyone wanting to track it fast

Andy, I have a feeling you are gonna enjoy the replacement even more though :cheers

Adam, the SLR is quite similar to the 340R with the same VHPD engine. When I drove Andy's 340R, it felt halfway between the CR and SLR.

Andy, get the replacement on the track on 23rd at KH. We will have some sliding fun :damnfunny
