Nuke sub grounded
Nuke sub grounded
Run aground off the Isle of Skye. Bloody skipper on his rum ration too early. That along with Clinton losing the key to his Nuclear War Box for months gives you lots of confidence.
He could have probably bought it back off eBay.

Yep, listen to 5live on headphones via Freeview most of the day. Have a zillion TV channels with Freeview and Sky, yet listen to a radio show.
Just bought it up on the Netbook for the first time so that I can watch Gabby in bed, me that is, not her, which is why it is slow typing with one hand. However Rachel Burden is sitting in at the moment so not the same. Just wish they would shut up about Rooney.

I couldnt understand why they were going on and on and on about Rooney yesterday - not listening to it today, but imagine it will just be as bad now that he's signed a new contract.
anyway, enough of that... back to nukes... im away for a biscuit

Don't forget that the "biscuit" is needed to open the "football", so without the footie we would all be wiped out with no retaliation.
Would prefer not to be hit by nukes, but would like to think that whoever launched them would be wiped out along with myself, but ten times over.

I watched an hour long Discovery type programme on the building of that very same Nuclear Sub. They claimed the sonar was that sophisticated that it could detect movement in the ocean as far away as New York but it couldn't identify a sand bank 100yds ahead of it

At least I know where it was for a few hours, with a basic fcuk up like this, Kayaking with these arseholes under you makes you clinch the left buttock when you see something black emerging off your starboard

Re: Nuke sub grounded
We were up there at the end of Sept. Had a week on Skye and stopped at Kyle of Lochalsh to go on the glass bottom boat. Went out under the bridge and it was pretty choppy and that was quite a mild day. Went along the shore in the bay so we could see the sea bed, it was pretty shallow there.
Thought they might have just been getting shelter when I heard about it because it was mega wild that night but its a submarine not a boat, they could just go down to the bottom if its a bit wild on the surface cant they.

Its very easy to criticise. Wait till all the facts come out. Not very mature calling them arseholes and tits.

Neil i see you have decided not to answer my PM so i will voice my opinion as a post.I strongly agree with the comments above and can clearly see you are not a supporter of the United Kingdoms Armed Forces. i have taken personnel insult to your post as a Submariner doing a very difficult Job for my country.

Re: Nuke sub grounded
i think the armed forces could spin this to benefit them,
if it is looked into and it shows that the system was sub par and not up to date, then they could state that this is due to the lack of funding from the government.
I'm a supporter of the armed forces and have always thought submarines were brilliant, so yes i did have a giggle when i read tut's first post, but hope nothing bad comes out of it against the navy.

I was going to answer you by PM however as I see you have went down this route, fair enough and never one to shy away from a responce...battle short wrote:Neil i see you have decided not to answer my PM so i will voice my opinion as a post.I strongly agree with the comments above and can clearly see you are not a supporter of the United Kingdoms Armed Forces. i have taken personnel insult to your post as a Submariner doing a very difficult Job for my country.
I'm sure as a submariner it would be a tad near the nuckle and it was't a direct shot across the bow at you..so I apologise if I offended you...
I'm there are many people on here in differant walks of life, and the last time I looked sure as its almost still a free country I'm entitled to my say the same as the next.... I diden't say people would agree with it but there you are??I am a supporter of the UK's Armed forces ( I have frends and family involved ),however I have always had my OWN reservations about Nuk Subs around the world per say there are hundreds rotting away in bases all over the world with no propper ideas on how to depose of them safely..they have always felt to be one trip short of disaster.. either to themself or someone else.....and I think there have been a few over the years thankfully none catistrophic..
Saddly in these cash stapped days I can't quite get my head round the need for retaining Nuk subs or upgraiding to Trident etc costing billions that could be better spent elsewhere in the UK..( sorry to anger you further)...this sub has cost about 1 billion with an overspend of millions, has had a fire onboard with other problems along the way and this is another.. and is't even in servise yet..
I hear the grounding could be down to something as simple as old charts ???!!!and the tug that removed it from the sand bank is to be mothballed due to goverment cutbacks .....yet again lots of joined up thinking...
So forgive me for not overflowing with confidence on this one, we can't all agree....
