Good chance he's been about KH at a trackday when some of the regualrs have been on. That ususally engenders a level of respect

Now, Mk1 MX5 - absolutely cracking car. Shame that they chased the haridresser market so hard, cos it really was a dynamic cut above the MGF's and tigras of this world..
Let's not forget what it was an oversize, overweight copy of, shall we?

well i have to say i liked my mx5 but it didn't get anywhere near the attention the elise does - no bloody ferrari's waved at me in that i can tell you!!
was a good fun little car from days when i couldn't afford an S1 elise (just a bit out of my price range)
the mgf IMHO is an abomination! it's trying hard to be a sports car but it's let down by the crappy rover finish and the fact it just feels like any other rover when you're inside. so so very plasticy. my mate has a TF and it's horrible

Ed,
The MR2 Ferrari waved at you because you have met him before! Pillock!

Get this,
Me and young brother were on way home today from town, roof off, and passed a 360spyder Rosso/Crema in a line of traffic, he was going the other way.
Young bro gave him a

and he was all a-waving out his roofless 'rarri, mr friendly ferrari pilot!

Its better than good!
Picked it up at Lunch, left work at 3 roof off, drove through town and caught a couple of folk takin sneaky cameraphone pics, got home and fitted new exhaust.
Giggled at how good it sounds then went for a drive!
It sounds ferrar-ishly raspy at 2.5k - loving it!
Days like today remind me why I like having it.
