16/17 degrees forecast for this weekend. Might be time to take the winters off.

There was hail here earlier. It's not like anyone needs to go anywhere

From experience, Toyo 888's grip better than yoko AD048s in the snow..... but not by much....
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

Pffff, endless tyre changing is really just throwing money down the drain . . . for normal cars, fit 4 season tyres and get on with your life . . . only a muppet drives a normal car too hard for 4 season tyres on the public road . . . If y'all lived in Nice, different deal, but y'all don't, you live in sh*t, rainy, generally cold scotland . . . sadly . . . precisely the climate 4 season tyres are designed for . . .

Agree on the All Season tyres. A set on the family barge courtesy of @graemefraser recommendation.

Disagree ref Scotland. It’s a fine country. Just need the appropriate clothing

You can wander around in wet gear thinking it's 'great' . . . meanwhile everybody else knows it isn't . . . it's sh*t . . . the UK including scotland is increasigly fcuk beyond belief, I detest living in this inbred sh*t hole . . .

When are you leaving?! (Guess it will be a few months yet...)

Where would you choose? States? Alpine Europe? Southern Hemisphere maybe?

Where is better?

We’ve looked at Switzerland, Colorado and (briefly) Perth, Aus. But were never brave enough. Plus lots of family ties here, especially for Lisa.

I’d choose NZ if I could live somewhere else.

A quiet bit of the alps would be nice too but I’d struggle to speak de lingo enough to work there, so would be retirement only.

NZ. Good shout. Got some family there, and a good uni mate has been there 22 years and never looked back.

Or leave them on - it’ll be winter before we can get out and about again. (there is actually wintry weather forecast for this weekend so I wouldn’t rush)
