Scottish Elises

As some of you may have seen (that are friends) on Facebook, the Type 72 is going (after only 9 months) and Santa is delivering the Evora in time for us to go for our Xmas dinner in it!

The Exige has been a great car, albeit short lived, however we couldn't let Mr Robertson leave MMC without selling us another car taking us in to double figures in the time that he has worked for MMC!

All that remains to be said is a huge thank you to Graeme, you've been fantastic over the years to deal with, and I'm sure our paths will cross again somewhere in the world of cars in the future!

You did the deal - fantastic. I resisted for now but will definately be joining the Evora owners (probably) next year.

What spec did you get?

Keith - I've no idea of the spec and got the fright of my life when Derek took it out for a test drive and put his foot down! I was nailed to the seat! When driving home I asked him what engine was in it! All I heard was 3.5 V6! Once he's stopped viewing the footie or whatever he is watching on TV, I'll ask him!

I think the perception will be bad enough when an estate agent rolls up in an Evora, never mind it being supercharged.

After wondering long and hard about how we should fill the screenwash on the Exige, the easier option was to go and look at changing the car. This is unusual, because previously, the driver for change has been the inability to understand how to tax a car. This then took us to the western outskirts of Edinburgh, where upon, a Christmas miracle took place.

Santa's helper, and our favourite Lotus selling elf looked at his list, and read aloud who had been naughty and nice. Then with one flick of his calculator, he was able to transform a stunning Exige (another car I said I'd keep for a while) into a lightly used, 2+0 ex-MMC demo Evora, in titanium, with C/R greabox, sports pack, sport exhaust xenons etc.

I know this is the car which everyone on here has bounced off the limiter, buzzed on the downchange and checked that the airbags function, however, it looks none the worse for it.

In fact the car looks great, and will be finished off by some black wheels. If I ever find the guy who whipped the grey wheels off it last week.....

In the meantime, the snow is falling thick and fast, so I'm now wondering how I'm going to get the Exige out of the garage and over into Edinburgh on Christmas Eve. Peter - I don't suppose that helicopter of yours is adapted for load carrying?

Congrats Good to see another Evora owner on here. I think that was the one I/Graeme went out in when I bought mine.

Can't of felt that quick compared to the Exige S? I didnt think there was much between them..?

After the 31st December, there won't be a reason to visit Sighthill so the bank balance will finally get a chance to recover It's been an expensive year 2010!
