Just heard from Bob van Melzen with sad news.
Only the old timers on here will remember Stefan, but he was one of the best known Elisers around. One of the most enthusiastic owners you would wish to meet, I had two memorable runs with him on Stelvio's 2002 and 2004, when I showed him the tut technique of crossing the Italian/Austria border control at 2300 when it had been closed for the night, so that we could get down to the partying with the rest in Obergurgle.
From posting on SELOC yesterday in the morning, he then got chest pains, and died in the ambulance on the way to Hospital. Will never understand the meaning of life, but it is as sure as hell haphazard.
Pleasure to have known you Stefan.
