Loves her MINI but couldn't tell you why.

Hates my car cos it's too difficult to get in / out of, too loud and people stare at you.
Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.

....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?

Into cars - but different sort of cars - her ideal would be Jag XK - my response is that I need to be (even) older to have one of these :)

Yup - although she prefers her car...

Makes for some interesting conversations (as I portray my opinions in my usual subtle and considered manner) Also makes for some interesting convoy drives home ;)

I'm chuffed, 'cos I can finally outdrag her with this engine 8)

Yes, & she would need to be to live with me :drive

Louise wants a Jag XK too (better get saving), but was never keen on the Liz. Getting in and out, and hard seats were the biggest complaint.

First time El drove the car, she spun it (at East Fortune)

Second time, she ran out of petrol as I was asleep in the pax seat ;)

(To be fair on that one, the gauge was doing funny things after the engine install)

Nicola liked my old Elise. She used to steal it and drove it most when I was banned, even leading off a run to KH so I could drive on the track. :)
She's never driven the Exige and hates the harnesses... :(

She used to be happy with her Pug 106D until she met me, now her next car list includes: (I asked to note any cars that she saw and liked)

911 (old ones with big spoilers), IRTA 964 Turbo...
BMW 3-series (but only likes the M3)
Maserati Coupe
X5 (I know...)
Merc SL, SLK at a push...

and the latest....

Gallardo

Yes,

She took me to Godwood :D and likes the Liz, but didn't like the fact she can't reach the pax footrest. Now I have harnesses so it isn't a problem. Doesn't get the noise thing though, just wait till I get a 4-2-1!

She has driven it on a couple of occasions and she gets the "Elise Grin" and becomes (More of) a maniac.... Last time was up Glenshee and one of the shocks went pop when she hit a speed bump a bit quick. Not really her fault, 8 year old Konis, but she still feels guilty

Yip.
Wendy has had a couple of MR2s and hired a Ferrari when on hols in Hawaii. She has driven both our elises at KH and would have driven the exige at KH a couple of weeks ago had she not watched me spin off backwards into the gravel and blame it on the car! ( well, wot else could it have been lol ).

She is less keen on driving the Esprit cause she cant see out of the back, cant reach all the pedals, needs 2 hands to change gear, cant get it into reverse unless there is a passenger to help, and can get the handbrake on.. but not off. Worryingly she still drives it quite often!! :D

Jim,

on a bit of a drift... any chance of you posting up a wee thoughts/opinions on life with the esprit? I'd be v interested to know how she compares to the others in the garage, or even how she compares to the megablade! Different kettle of fish altogether... but is the esprit properly more 'user friendly'?

Cheers in anticipation :D

not really

She does drive the 340 (badly). I do not make a good pax, not unless I have had a few shandies and to be fair it is the only time she really drives it :o)

She has a very nice cooper s cabro, but wants a Z4 carbo. so yes definatly a poser and not a driver.

Not really, she thinks it's cool and likes me to drive it, but doesn't like to drive it herself, too hard.

But... what is a PAS? :?:
