Have another day of tomorrow, wife working and determined as hopefully the roads will be quiet to get my arse out in the Lotus and clock up a few miles... Pretty sure over the various road runs and trips up North I've done a lot of the good trips, but leaving from Fife, and planning on heading up and over Cairn o' mount road but from there I'm open to suggestions!

Thoughts?!

Don't really know that part of the country, but you could fit in the Braemar road also

Just take alternate lefts and rights, avoiding all main roads?

Or you could aim for the Lecht, Aviemore, and perhaps the Loch Rannoch road on the way back round to Fife?

Dave, if the weather is OK, would not mind a run out myself tomorrow.

If so could meet you at Edzell, then go via Fettercain, Mount, Banchory, then the backroads around my part of the woods.

Robin, sounds like the rough plan I had!

Sounds good Tut, pm me your number, I'll check the weather up that way and as long as roads not lethal then I'll head up, otherwise I'll be doing a borders blast!

i have some awesome border routes, but no brake pads. Doh. Maybe next time.

Had an awesome day out, 300 miles on 95% B roads, roof off all day, met Tut and Jamie ( Tut's soon to be son in law!) driving Mrs Jude's Early S1 in Edzell, drove some great roads thanks to routemeister Tut, left them at Huntly due to Jamie's car developing a misfire, and headed back home.

Headed back via the Tomintoul road to Braemar, over Lecht and Glenshee then home. Few pics here:- http://www.flickr.com/photos/dgmhay/set ... 948584112/ Enjoyed the Cairn, but it was foggy and some lethal potholes to contend with.

All in all a cracking way to spend a Monday and a day off. Started off with a bacon roll, and getting home to steak and red wine!
