Anybody do anything interesting at the weekend? I was gonna head up to Alford on Sunday but we slept in - TBH, I needed it.

Saturday was fun though.... Helped remove a 'spare' engine from a E30 BMW at Dom's (with the able assistance of Rich :thumbsup)

Tools used:

New socket set
Breaker bar
Hacksaw
Angle grinder
Engine hoist
Pickaxe (!)
Forklift truck.....

'Twas 'emotional'

I had a hairy drive up to fort william in the pi*sing rain on Sat  , and a cracking run back down on Sunday. went by crianlarich and stirling. enough traffic to make life interesting, but fortunately due to the number of tuts, the stupid grin was there for pretty much the whole way :D :D .

Used the fork lift to open the boot on sunday morning  Managed to pick up the entire rear end of the car, on the strength of the boot lock alone. 80's german cars are so much better biult than any current models! It took a couple of drops on to the lock to burst it open   . It was worth it though, as I found more spares (some new in boxes) in the boot.

Drove up to Findochty near Buckie and went out in a boat fishing . Saturday night was a barbecue , too much beer and made an arse of myself. Sunday afternoon drove back very hungover via Aberdeen and Glenshee in glorious sunshine . Best bits were following a bike for 20 miles and the run down from Glenshee.

Stopped at Blairgowrie where 3 polish guys took pictures of the car . Sadly it was a puke stop and one of them walked through it  Sunburn is a nightmare.
